Before you put a whole final account into a new system, you want four things answered without digging through a policy: where the data sits, who can see it, how you get it out, and what happens when a trial ends. Here they are.
Where it lives
Your account records and project data are held on servers in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS, and each practice’s files sit in a separate area keyed to the account, not pooled together.
Passwords are stored only as salted hashes. We cannot read your password, and neither can anyone who reached the database.
Who can see it
Project data is yours. For it, you are the controller and QScope is your processor — we handle it on your instructions, nothing more. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use it to train machine-learning models.
Guests — clients and subcontractors — see only the single project you share, at the permission level you set, and you can revoke a link at any time.
Getting it out
Your figures are never locked in. You can export your data to CSV whenever you want, on any plan, without asking us and without a notice period. It opens in Excel or Google Sheets and it is yours to keep.
There is no export fee and no “contact sales to leave” step. The door out is as open as the door in.
After your trial
When a trial ends and you don’t subscribe, your account switches to read-only. You can still sign in, look at everything and export it. Nothing is deleted the moment the trial stops.
Project data stays available to export for at least 60 days. If you come back and subscribe, you pick up exactly where you left off.
Card details are handled entirely by Stripe on its own pages — QScope never sees or stores a card number. The full detail on lawful basis, sub-processors and retention is in the privacy policy.
Thirty days is a full valuation cycle, so you can run QScope on live figures and still walk away with every one of them.
